Butler will be playing a new villain in the Dune movie. <\/p>
Austin Butler has had an abundance of major roles over the course of his career, but none have made him look as villainous as Feyd-Rautha in Dune: Part Two<\/a>.<\/p>\n Many fans have no doubt needed to do a double take when Butler was seen in the trailer for the sci-fi epic, largely due to him being bald and eyebrow-less.<\/p>\n Don\u2019t worry, though, it\u2019s just a bald cap.<\/p>\n When it came to casting the villain, the nephew and heir to Baron Vladimir Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsg\u00e5rd), director Denis Villeneuve knew the type of person he wanted to step into the role.<\/p> In an exclusive interview with RadioTimes.com<\/a>, Villeneuve explained he \u201cneeded a fearless actor\u201d to portray Feyd-Rautha.<\/p>\n \u201cSomeone that will be willing to go just close to\u2026 not too far but just close to it,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n \u201cSomeone that will not be judging himself; someone that will love to take risks. And someone that, of course, will have the necessary charisma \u2013 I needed an actor with a lot of sex appeal.<\/p>\n \u201cI needed a playboy, I needed someone that\u2026 I needed a rock star, and we\u2019ve seen Austin has done that in his previous role.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n As plenty will be aware, Butler portrayed Elvis Presley in the 2022 biopic, which saw him nominated for the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role.<\/p>\n Villeneuve added: \u201cI needed someone that could have that magnetism, strong and magnetic, and Austin had all those qualities.\u201d<\/p>\n While fans will have to wait and see what Butler\u2019s character is really like, Butler previously detailed the \u201cbrutality\u201d of Feyd-Rautha to Vanity Fair<\/a>.<\/p>\n He explained that his character has \u201ca feeling of being stronger and more vicious and more brutal and more intelligent than anybody else\u201d.<\/p>\n\n
