Myers has passed away at the age of 66. <\/p>
Hairy Bikers star Si King has paid an emotional tribute to his \u201cbest friend\u201d and long-time colleague Dave Myers, who has passed away<\/a> aged 66.<\/p>\n Writing on X<\/a> (formerly Twitter), the TV chef announced that Myers passed away last night (Wednesday 28th February) following a long battle with cancer, writing that \u201cAll who knew Dave are devastated at his passing\u201d.<\/p>\n He also wrote a touching personal tribute in which he admitted that he was \u201cnot sure I can put into words how I feel at the moment\u201d.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cMy best friend is on a journey that for now, I can\u2019t follow. I will miss him every day and the bond and friendship we shared over half a lifetime. I wish you god\u2019s speed brother; you are and will remain a beacon in this world. See you on the other side. Love ya.<\/p>\n \u201cI know Dave and his family would want me to thank all of you who sent messages of support in recent times,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt meant the world to him, his family and all The Hairy Bikers team. I am sending you all much love and gratitude for those simple acts of kindness, generosity and spirit. We are eternally grateful for them.\u201d<\/p>\n King closed his statement by asking fans for \u201cone further kindness\u201d in allowing him and Myers\u2019 close family and friends \u201csome peace to process our huge loss\u201d.<\/p>\n He signed off: \u201cI am sure I will see you all soon.
