Genesis Lynea is the latest name to be confirmed for the hotly-anticipated new run. <\/p>
There are only a few more months to wait until Whovians can finally see Ncuti Gatwa<\/a>\u2018s first full season as The Doctor in May \u2013 and now Russell T Davies has teased some more new cast members for the upcoming run.<\/p>\n Writing in the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine<\/a>, the showrunner confirmed that Shadow & Bone<\/a> star Genesis Lysea \u2013 whose other credits include Casualty<\/a>, Silent Witness<\/a> and A Discovery of Witness<\/a> \u2013 will have an as-yet-undisclosed role in Doctor Who season 14<\/a> and that The Winter King<\/a> star Gw\u00efon Morris Jones has also joined the cast.<\/p>\n \u201cAs the heat rises and May gets closer, it\u2019s exciting to reveal even more cast names,\u201d he wrote. \u201cBear in mind we\u2019ve still got big surprises to come!\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cTo ramp up your anticipation, it\u2019s a joy to welcome Genesis Lynea on board. It was a great delight for me to work with Genesis on an ITV series called You and Me in 2023, and so much fun to work with her again, so soon, in a very different role.\u201d<\/p> Of course, Lynea and Jones are just the latest in a long line of stars announced for the hotly-anticipated season, which will see Gatwa joined by Millie Gibson as companion Ruby Sunday \u2013 who we first met in the 2023 Christmas Special The House on Ruby Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n Other cast members from that special who will reprise their roles in the new season include Michelle Greenidge as Carla Sunday,\u00a0<\/strong>Angela Wynter as Cherry Sunday and Anita Dobson as Mrs Flood, while Yasmin Finney will reprise her role as Rose Noble from the 60th anniversary specials<\/a>.<\/p>\n It\u2019s new DWM day!
