While many of us will know her best as Kate Fleming in Line of Duty<\/a> or as Lana Washington in Trigger Point<\/a>, Vicky McClure<\/a> is set to join the line-up of Crimewatch Live for a specal appearance.<\/p>\n

The new season of Crimewatch kicks off next week and, as always, will shine a light on some of the country\u2019s biggest unsolved cases.<\/p>\n

For three weeks and broadcasting live over that period, we\u2019ll get an insight into the teams who are working to bring criminals to justice.<\/p>\n

In Tuesday\u2019s (5th March) episode, presenters Rav Wilding and Michelle Ackerley will be joined by McClure to discuss her new dementia care partnership with Nottingham Police.<\/p>\n

Of course, as well as being a BAFTA award-winning actress, McClure is also the founder of Our Dementia Choir.<\/p>\n

On the announcement of the upcoming instalment, Crimewatch presenter Ackerley said: \u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to working on the new series of Crimewatch Live.<\/p>\n

\u201cEach year we work closely with police forces, helping to crack down on crime by broadcasting appeals from across the UK.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving the opportunity to go behind the scenes with some of the UK\u2019s most respected emergency service teams is a real privilege. Once again, we need the viewers\u2019 help in order to solve important cases.\u201d<\/p>

The first week of cases will be a big one for Crimewatch viewers, with the new slate of episodes set to feature a police investigation into the \u201cjaw-dropping\u201d impersonation by a man who stole thousands from his own father by posing as his recently deceased mother.<\/p>\n
