Sally Lindsay leads the trailer for Channel 5\u2019s latest thriller, Love Rat, which sees a recently divorced woman fall in love with an enigmatic stranger abroad \u2013 only to discover he isn\u2019t who he claims to be.<\/p>\n

The series introduces viewers to Emma (Lindsay), who hopes that a trip to Cyprus will be just what she needs to start moving on from a painful divorce from her longtime partner, Pete (Neil Morrissey).<\/p>\n

Things initially appear to be going according to plan as she crosses paths with the handsome and affluent Niko (Gerald Kyd), who sweeps her off her feet and later asks her to stay with him in a picturesque villa on the island nation.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s just one catch: he needs a whopping \u00a3200,000 loan to secure the property, which he assures will be sent right back to her. Alas, he disappears with the cash \u2013 leaving Emma both heartbroken and robbed.<\/p>\n
