As Dune: Part Two<\/a> finally hits cinemas, fans have noticed there are a few major characters missing<\/a> from Denis Villeneuve\u2019s<\/a> second instalment \u2013 and now one of the actors has spoken out on his absence.<\/p>\n

Tim Blake Nelson, who was due to appear in the film is an as of yet unconfirmed role, has said he was \u201cheartbroken\u201d to be cut.<\/p>\n

He told MovieWeb<\/a>: \u201cI don\u2019t think I\u2019m at liberty to say what the scene was.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d leave that to Denis [Villeneuve] if he wants to talk about it. I had a great time over there shooting it. And then he had to cut it because he thought the movie was too long.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I am heartbroken over that, but there\u2019s no hard feelings. I loved it, and I can\u2019t wait to do something else with him and we certainly plan to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Neither Nelson nor Villenueve have disclosed what Nelson\u2019s role was, but it\u2019s been assumed by some that he was due to play Count Fenring, the husband of L\u00e9a Seydoux\u2019s character Lady Margot Fenring<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the books, Count Fenring is a close friend of Emperor Shaddam (played by Christopher Walken), with the character and his wife having their own language.<\/p>\n

While he was cut from Dune: Part Two, it\u2019s possible that he could appear in a third film<\/a>, based on Frank Herbert\u2019s novel<\/a> Dune Messiah, if it\u2019s greenlit.<\/p>\n
