In true Dakota Johnson fashion, the actress has been very honest about her recent movie Madame Web<\/a> \u2013 and why it bombed at the box office.<\/p>\n

The actress admitted in a new and very candid interview that it\u2019s \u201cbeen hard to fake it\u201d on the Madame Web press tour \u2013 and said she understands why the film was \u201cripped to shreds\u201d.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Bustle<\/a>, Johnson, who stars as the psychic Cassandra Webb, said of the reviews<\/a>: \u201cUnfortunately, I\u2019m not surprised that this has gone down the way it has.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that, even on smaller movies, decisions are being made by committees \u2013 and that it\u2019s impossible for art to be made with numbers and algorithms.<\/p>\n

Johnson explained: \u201cIt was definitely an experience for me to make that movie. I had never done anything like it before. I probably will never do anything like it again because I don\u2019t make sense in that world. And I know that now.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut sometimes in this industry, you sign on to something, and it\u2019s one thing and then as you\u2019re making it, it becomes a completely different thing, and you\u2019re like, \u2018Wait, what?\u2019<\/p>\n
