Fans of Neighbours<\/a> will be shocked at the latest development, which saw Toadie (played by Ryan Moloney) cheat on his wife with his ex Mel (Lucinda Cowden).<\/p>\n

No doubt eyes will be on whether Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) and Paul (Stefan Dennis) would reignite their once-fiery romance.<\/p>\n

Although they\u2019ve been getting closer over recent weeks, especially during the search for Josh\u2019s plaque, they\u2019ve kept their relationship purely platonic (much to Paul\u2019s dismay, perhaps).<\/p>\n

RadioTimes.com<\/a> recently caught up with Elmaloglou and Dennis to find out what their hopes are now Toadie tore his marriage apart.<\/p>\n

Fans will be pleased to see you two on camera together once more. What\u2019s it been like working closely again?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rebekah Elmaloglou:<\/strong> \u201cWe\u2019ve missed each other, that\u2019s for sure! It\u2019s been lovely, and I love the fact that the few scenes leading up to this whole storyline that Terese and Paul have together actually have been so much fun and quite comical. They\u2019re back to their old ways and it\u2019s quite sweet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rebekah, it\u2019s been clear that Paul has wanted Terese back since the beginning of the reboot, but has she wanted him back?<\/strong><\/p>\n

RE<\/strong>: \u201cI think from the last season and being stood up at the wedding, I think she\u2019s been very \u2018over, red rover\u2019. She moved on with Toadie and she has a new life with him and the kids. But certainly, there\u2019ll always be that soft spot for Paul. At this stage, she\u2019s done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stefan Dennis:<\/strong> \u201cIt\u2019s very interesting. I\u2019ve been doing catch-up on Amazon Freevee, so I\u2019m a week behind everyone at the moment, and I\u2019ve been watching all the stuff with David\u2019s death and the funeral. It\u2019s really interesting seeing the connection between Terese and Paul again \u2013 and the care Terese still has for Paul.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s interesting because she\u2019s married to Toadie, and as much as Paul thought he could be the thorn in the side that was sharp enough to split them up, that didn\u2019t work.\u201d<\/p>

Stefan, it\u2019s hard to trust Paul\u2019s intention sometimes, but he\u2019s there for her when she finds out about Toadie\u2019s affair. Does he care for her, or is he just keen to be the one that\u2019s there for her?<\/strong><\/p>\n

SD:<\/strong> \u201cI think he was probably pretty stoked about it! But then that backfired tremendously on him, because Terese was like, \u2018Nah.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Rebekah, what did you think when you heard the storyline? Fans were getting used to the idea of Toadie and Terese together, and then all of a sudden this bombshell is in the mix\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

RE:<\/strong> \u201cI don\u2019t know if fans have completely gotten used to it. It\u2019s a real dividing line. I think with something like Neighbours, something had to happen. It\u2019s not Neighbours if we keep coasting along and everything\u2019s fine and dandy.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt really rocks Terese\u2019s world, and as mentioned in the dialogue, this happened before with her husband Brad and Lauren Turner. For her, there\u2019s a part of her that feels like she brought it on with her own anxiety. Even though she was trying to do the right thing, there\u2019s a part of her that feels she manifested this. She\u2019s pretty devastated, but she\u2019s certainly not running to Paul at this stage\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

SD:<\/strong> \u201cUntil Paul gets her to his evil lair\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Is there a way back for Toadie and Terese at this point? Or is that game over?<\/strong><\/p>\n

RE:<\/strong> \u201cThere\u2019s still a little road ahead, most definitely. I don\u2019t know whether they get back together, they take it really slowly or whether Terese wipes her hands of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think she has a big concern about the kids, too; they\u2019ve lost one mother and another stepmother \u2013 and now this happened. She\u2019s pretty rocked by the whole thing, and certainly will take things slowly. But it may or may not happen, who knows? Toadie might have another love!\u201d<\/p>\n

Stefan, what\u2019s Paul\u2019s play now? This is prime time for his scheming to really start\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

SD:<\/strong> \u201cYou were saying before that Paul is intent in his mind that Terese still loves Paul, and that if he said, \u2018Come on, just leave Toadie and come back with me,\u2019 she would go. But of course, it\u2019s not as simple as that. The other spanner that\u2019s been thrown in the works is the girlfriend on the scene. It\u2019s all a tangled web, isn\u2019t it?\u201d<\/p>\n

Do you as Rebekah and Stefan want Paul and Terese to get back together? Or do you think maybe that Terese should find a better man\u2026?<\/strong><\/p>\n

SD:\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cFor one, we both love working with each other. For two, it was a marriage made in hell, in a heavenly way. It\u2019s like Paul and Terese\u2019s relationship is and always will be fraught with all sorts of terrible things. But in answer to your question, I would love to be working with Rebekah again, which means obviously Paul and Terese get back together.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut in my mind, the fans are going to be in two minds. I know there are diehard fans who call for Paul and Terese, but there\u2019s the other side that are probably saying, \u2018Oh, really guys, you\u2019re going to try and hit us with this one again?\u2019 I don\u2019t really know which way it\u2019s going to go, but it would certainly be a delight.\u201d<\/p>\n

RE:<\/strong> \u201cWe\u2019re very naughty on set\u2026 we\u2019re like naughty school kids!\u201d<\/p>\n

SD:<\/strong> [Laughs<\/em>]<\/p>\n

RE:<\/strong> \u201cOf course I want her back with Paul, but you know, maybe a few hot lovers in the meantime\u2026 [Laughs<\/em>]. I\u2019ve been very blessed to work with some amazing actors as partners on the show. But I started the show almost 11 years ago, and Stefan and I just clicked immediately.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt comes down to a really beautiful connection we have and a spark that we have. It\u2019s undeniable. I think that\u2019s what it really comes down to. Always Terese and Paul, always.\u201d<\/p>\n
