Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection brings together two beloved titles from the early noughties and modernises elements for the latest consoles and PC platforms. Of course, one of the biggest incentives for the game is multiplayer.<\/p>\n

With up to 64 players able to battle it out across Naboo, Endor and even the Death Star, teaming up with friends to either fight for the Rebellion or Empire is what venturing to a galaxy far, far away is all about. The only thing that could make it better is crossplay.<\/p>\n

Now becoming a more common feature, crossplay remains one of the biggest factors for many when deciding not only if they should pick up the game but on which platform. There\u2019s also the fact that it\u2019s been a torrid start for developer Aspyr, with players globally reporting issues of bugs, glitches and general server issues<\/a> across multiplayer.<\/p>\n

For this guide though, we\u2019re addressing whether Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection<\/a> has crossplay and what multiplayer options are accessible (when they\u2019re working). Head below for all the details.<\/p>\n

Does Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection have crossplay?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection only supports crossplay between the same console families<\/strong> \u2013 a practise known as cross-gen.<\/p>\n

What this essentially means is that those on PlayStation 5 can play with PlayStation 4 owners and vice versa.<\/p>\n

Likewise, players on Xbox Series X\/S can play with those on Xbox One, and vice versa.<\/p>\n

However, nobody on PlayStation can play with anyone on Xbox or any other non-PlayStation platform.<\/p>\n

For anyone who picks PC or Nintendo Switch, no crossplay is available whatsoever \u2014 players are only able to compete against one another on their own respective platforms.<\/p>\n

Say you\u2019ve got a group of four pals. If you\u2019re on PC, one of your friends is on PS4, another is one Xbox Series X and the other is on Nintendo Switch\u2026 none of you will be able to play together.<\/p>\n
