Barbara Flynn has teased that Anne will be trying out the world of online dating in the second run. <\/p>
There\u2019s less than a week to go until the second season of Beyond Paradise<\/a> begins its run this Friday \u2013 and star Barbara Flynn has revealed that fans can expect to see a different side to her character this time around.<\/p>\n Flynn stars as Martha\u2019s mother Anne Lloyd in the Death of Paradise<\/a> spin-off and has teased that the new run will see her throw herself into the world of online dating as she tries to find love again following the death of her husband before the first season.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a natural progression, I suppose, but also quite a difficult one to jump in,\u201d Flynn said of Anne\u2019s journey in an interview with Digital Spy<\/a>.<\/p> \u201cBut she does jump in with encouragement and a bit of determination and finds it\u2019s quite fun \u2013 but also a bit dangerous. She does get support from the youth around her, from a lovely new character, and it\u2019s a journey.\u201d<\/p>\n She added that putting herself out there again is a \u201cgreat shock\u201d for Anne having been with the same man for so long but said that the new experience is also \u201cexciting and funny.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cGetting to know where to swipe and what to do \u2013 all that stuff, we make the most of all that,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n The new run sees Kris Marshall reprise his role as DI\u00a0Humphrey Goodman and will include storylines about Humphrey and Martha\u2019s fostering journey<\/a> alongside a host of new cases in \u00a0Shipton Abbott.<\/p>\n And according to star Zahra Ahmadi, this season\u2019s mysteries are \u201cbolder and bigger\u201d<\/a> than in the first run.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s a fishing boat case, and there\u2019s a real sense of magic around the sea,\u201d she teased.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve got a murder mystery on a steam train, the school priest going missing and a medium predicting an arson attack. I feel like the stories come more out of the land this series.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
