The revival series features a revamped version of the opening titles and theme music. <\/p>

New to Disney Plus, X-Men \u201997<\/a> is a revival of the classic animated series from the 1990s featuring Marvel\u2019s mutants \u2013 and fans will be pleased to learn that the new show keeps the original\u2019s iconic theme music and opening titles.<\/p>\n

A new version of the original theme plays over an almost shot-for-shot recreation of the opening \u2013 albeit with a few tweaks, including incorporating new team members Morph and Bishop.<\/p>\n

Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a>, X-Men \u201997 director\/producer Jake Castorena said that there was never any discussion about diverging from the original opening and theme music.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we\u2019re going to do something that [means] we\u2019re in a sandbox, there\u2019s automatically certain things that we should do, verbatim, that should just be in the DNA of our show from day one \u2013 and yes, the theme and the main titles was never in doubt.\u201d<\/p>\n

The aim, Castorena explained, was \u201cto have that feeling of cohesion\u201d between the new series and the original, \u201cmaking it feel like it\u2019s all part of the same show\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the end of the day, we are a spiritual successor \u2013 we are a revival,\u201d he said. \u201cI can tout this until I\u2019m blue in the face \u2013 we\u2019re not a reboot, we\u2019re not a retelling\u2026 the goal is to be able to watch the OG show and go right into ours\u2026 or start with our show and go right into the OG show.\u201d<\/p>\n
