Film and television heavyweights lend their talents to the Alone in the Dark reboot. <\/p>

Over 30 years later, Alone in the Dark<\/a> is back. It\u2019s been brought into the modern world as a remake\/reimagining, with the classic characters from the 1992 original portrayed by some very familiar faces indeed.<\/p>\n

The Alone in the Dark cast is full of famous faces from the worlds of TV, film and games \u2013 headlined by none other than Jodie Comer and David Harbour, who you might just know from Killing Eve and Stranger Things<\/a>, respectively.<\/p>\n

To believably portray the protagonists Emily Hartwood and Edward Carnby, Alone in the Dark writer and director Mikael Hedberg (Amnesia: The Dark Descent, SOMA) explained: \u201cWe knew early on that we had a character-driven story, so we needed to find some really good actors to make those characters come to life.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Director and writer for the Alone in the Dark remake Mikael Hedberg knew that the character of Emily would be going through the emotional wringer, and needed to find the right actor to really hit this home.<\/p>\n

    Hedberg reasoned Comer would be the top choice, saying: \u201cJodie is a fantastic actress and she brings a lot of nuance to Emily as a character and it really makes us sympathise with her.\u201d<\/p>\n

    In true noir fashion, Carnby is a hard-boiled and wisecracking detective, but finds himself succumbing to the dark power that lurks in Derceto.<\/p>\n

    Hedberg knew Harbour would be the perfect fit, saying: \u201cDavid has a really strong presence as an actor, and he\u2019s able to make the funny moments really funny, but also the dramatic parts really intense.\u201d<\/p>
