Kelly is to receive one of BAFTA’s highest honours. <\/p>
After four decades in broadcasting, Lorraine Kelly is to receive the highest of honours at this year\u2019s BAFTA TV Awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n Announced live on air on Lorraine<\/a> this morning (Monday 25th March), Susanna Reid interrupted the show to surprise Kelly and make the big announcement.<\/p>\n Reid said: \u201cGood morning, Lorraine. This has come as an enormous surprise\u2026 I have a very special announcement for you, Lorraine Kelly. It doesn\u2019t get much bigger or more deserved than this. I am here for a very special reason this morning.<\/p>\n \u201cBAFTA will be celebrating your 40 years in broadcasting. Your programme is nominated in the daytime category, but I have something unique and special to you. This is the first time something like this has been announced on air.
