Speaking to RadioTimes.com<\/a> about how the relationship between Dan and DS Lisa Donckers (Emma Naomi) develops in the upcoming episodes, he said: \u201cLife has gotten in the way of love so far for them, and I can\u2019t give too much away, but I would say to the viewers be prepared because the will-they-won\u2019t-they storyline does come to its culmination in this season.<\/p>\n \u201cJust be prepared for a bit of an assault course on the emotions. \u201d<\/p>\n You heard the man. Brace yourselves.<\/p> And it\u2019s not plain sailing for Professor Jasper Tempest (Ben Miller), either. After trying to defend DCI Christina Brand (Juliet Aubrey) at the end of season 2, he\u2019s now behind bars.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s just about the worst environment he could possibly find himself in,\u201d said Miller. \u201cFirst of all, he\u2019s germaphobic, and the whole of the prison is pretty unhygienic. I think he struggles with that.<\/p>\n \u201cHe really doesn\u2019t like the food, and he finds it really difficult sharing a cell with someone.\u201d<\/p>\n But interestingly, it\u2019s not all<\/em> bad.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd then, on the flip side, he\u2019s surrounded by criminals and he\u2019s lived all his life in academia, really, and he\u2019s fascinated by criminality,\u201d explained Miller.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s a criminology professor, so it\u2019s also like being a butterfly collector locked in a butterfly house.
