The Seven Dials Mystery will mark Chibnall’s comeback. <\/p>

Ex-Doctor Who showrunner Chris Chibnall\u2019s next project will see him adapt an Agatha Christie detective story for Netflix.<\/p>\n

The Seven Dials Mystery will begin filming this summer and will mark Broadchurch creator Chibnall\u2019s first TV project since he departed Doctor Who<\/a> after four years as head writer and executive producer.<\/p>\n

He will executive produce the show through his company Imaginary Friends, with Suzanne Mackie (The Crown) of Orchid Pictures, Chris Sussman (Good Omens<\/a>), and James Prichard of Agatha Christie Limited also attached as executive producers.<\/p>\n

Chris Sweeney (The Tourist<\/a>) will direct the series.<\/p>

First published in 1929, The Seven Dials Mystery saw Christie bring back the characters from an earlier novel, The Secret of Chimneys: Lady Eileen \u2018Bundle\u2019 Brent, Lord Caterham, Bill Eversleigh, George Lomax, Tredwell, and Superintendent Battle.<\/p>\n

The story follows the investigation by Bundle and company into the mysterious appearance of seven clocks at the scene of a death.<\/p>\n
