The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons has revealed that reprising his role as Sheldon Cooper was \u201cvery weird\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n The actor will be back on our screens as the iconic character in the upcoming series finale of Young Sheldon<\/a>, a spin-off of The Big Bang Theory<\/a> which follows Cooper as he grows up in East Texas with his family and struggles to fit in.<\/p>\n Appearing on Friday\u2019s episode of Today (29th March), Parsons<\/a> opened up about the experience, revealing that it was:<\/span>\u00a0\u201cVery weird. Also very beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued: \u201c<\/span>The Big Bang Theory <\/span>was always a live-audience show and <\/span>Young Sheldon<\/span> is a single-camera show, and I got to do it with Mayim [<\/span>Bialik] <\/span>\u2013 we both played Sheldon and Amy from the series.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cTo do it in that situation, it was just different enough that it wasn\u2019t creepy. Like going, \u2018What are we doing here again?!\u2019 Instead, it was really sweet. It felt like the nicest little coda to the whole experience, and I was very grateful that they asked us to do it.\u201d<\/span><\/p> While the seventh and final season is drawing to a close, <\/span>it\u2019s not the end of the extended Young Sheldon universe, with a sequel series revolving around Georgie and Mandy<\/a>\u00a0on its way.<\/span><\/p>\n The show, which is set to air in the 2024-2025 season, will focus on Montana Jordan and Emily Osment\u2019s characters \u201cas they raise their young family in Texas while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting and marriage\u201d, according to CBS.<\/span><\/p>\n
