Michael Ball will be continuing with what he has called Wright’s “extraordinary legacy”. <\/p>

Following the passing of Steve Wright<\/a> earlier this year, BBC Radio 2 has announced the new host for his show Love Songs.<\/p>\n

The slot will now be taken over by singer, broadcaster and actor Michael Ball, who currently presents on Sundays from 11am-1pm.<\/p>\n

Following the move, which will take place in June, he will instead present Love Songs with Michael Ball from 9-11am.<\/p>\n

Ball said of taking on the show: \u201cSteve made Love Songs \u2018appointment to listen\u2019 radio. I\u2019m beyond excited and more than a little nervous to be tasked with the chance to continue with his extraordinary legacy.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeautiful, moving, relaxing and uplifting music to lift the soul on a Sunday morning, coupled with the stories, suggestions, requests and precious memories from you, the listener, will ensure that this won\u2019t be just my<\/em> show, but our<\/em> show.<\/p>\n
