Nell Tiger Free would like to see her character’s story continue “running parallel” to the events of The Omen. <\/p>
Given that The First Omen<\/a> is a direct prequel to the 1976 horror classic The Omen, you\u2019d be forgiven for thinking that it might not necessarily lead to any further sequels.<\/p>\n But, according to star Nell Tiger Free \u2013 who has the lead role of novice nun Margaret Daino in the film \u2013 the ending of the movie \u201copens the door to so much more\u201d when it comes to the future of the franchise.<\/p>\n Speaking during an exclusive interview with RadioTimes.com<\/a>, she said she was \u201cvery interested to know\u201d what happens to her character and others after the events of the film, and not just because it affects her personally.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, I think it\u2019s so smart what they did at the end, with the twist at the end, and I think it opens up the door to so much more to the story,\u201d she explained.<\/p> \u201cLike where these two other people could go, and their story could be running parallel to [the events of The Omen].\u201d<\/p>\n She added: \u201cI just think there\u2019s so much\u2026 there\u2019s always room to add to wonderful things, you know, and, like, The Omen,<\/span> the original Omen,<\/span> is a wonderful thing.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd that\u2019s why it\u2019s no wonder it\u2019s spawned so many prequels and remakes and series\u2026 it\u2019s because it was a fantastic idea executed perfectly.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd we all just want to jump on board. [We] just want more of it \u2013 more of a good thing.\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Free had been a huge fan of The Omen \u2013 and the horror genre in general \u2013 long before she came on board the new film, and she fondly recalled her first experience of watching the film when she was younger.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I was really young, I used to sneak over to my next door neighbour\u2019s house and we would watch horror films together,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n \u201cI would like sneakily watch different horror films in, like, 18 different parts on YouTube, it would take me like four hours to actually find all the parts and watch them in completion.<\/p>\n \u201cI think I snuck over to my neighbour Hannah\u2019s house and we watched The Omen together. And I remember being, like, traumatised in such a pleasant way. In, like, such a morbid fascination, love of the macabre way.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cI\u2019ve always\u2026 horror was the thing that made me fall in love with film in the first place. And The Omen was actually a very big part of that. So yeah, I mean, I just love weird, freaky stuff. And this is that, for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
