BBC One competition show Race Across the World<\/a> is back, with five more teams of two battling it out in a 15,000-kilometre race across eastern Asia.<\/p>\n

One of this year\u2019s<\/a> teams is made up of Alfie and Owen, two 20-year-old friends from school in Hertfordshire, and a football referee and trainee<\/span> pilot respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ahead of the season taking place, the duo discussed their plans for how to come out on top this season, revealing a strategy to get ahead of the competition.<\/p>\n

Alfie said: \u201cWe have discussed a strategy. The strategy is, in very loose terms, earn first and race <\/span>later. So, particularly in the first leg, just try and not eat into our spending too much.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe <\/span>think that everybody in the first leg is going to be quite<\/span> \u2018gung ho\u2019,<\/span>\u00a0and perhaps aren\u2019t going <\/span>to have that much headspace \u2013<\/span>\u00a0they\u2019re<\/span> going to be a little bit erratic, so we\u2019re going to try <\/span>and take advantage of that. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut I think as soon as that klaxon goes, that might all go out the <\/span>window!\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
