New Channel 5<\/a> drama The Cuckoo<\/a> kicks off tonight, and we\u2019ve got an exclusive clip showing the moment at which the central family have their lives turned upside down.<\/p>\n In the clip, Jessica, mother to Alice and wife to Nick, is showing a woman, Sian, around her new family home, to see if she may become their lodger to get them out of financial troubles.<\/p>\n At that very moment, a woman knocks on the door asking for money owed to her husband, a plumber \u2013 with Sian offering up an envelope of cash as deposit for the room, the decision is made for Jessica.<\/p>\n Nick and Alice arrive to meet Sian as their new neighbour, with neither of them seeming happy about the prospect \u2013 a feeling we\u2019re sure will turn out to be well-founded.<\/p>\n You can watch the clip right here now.<\/p>\n
