Maybe third time’s the charm? <\/p>

Yes, that\u2019s right. According to Deadline<\/a>, Heroes and Heroes Reborn<\/a> creator Tim Kring is currently pitching another Heroes<\/a> revival, officially taking the \u2018if at first you don\u2019t succeed, try, try again\u2019 mantra to new heights.<\/p>\n

If nothing else, we\u2019ve got to admire his commitment. And, to be fair, the sci-fi series\u2019s first season \u2013 which aired on NBC in 2006 to record-breaking ratings, and which went on to receive eight Emmy nominations \u2013 was far from a failure.<\/p>\n

Subsequent seasons and the 2015 reboot Heroes Reborn, however, had a much more lukewarm reception.<\/p>\n

Kring\u2019s latest attempt to do his original concept justice is being pitched as Heroes: Eclipsed, and will reportedly follow a fresh group of Evos grappling with their newfound powers, years after the events of the original series.<\/p>\n

So, Heroes Reborn, born again, then?<\/p>\n

\u201cFeaturing familiar villains and new enemies who once again will be attempting to suppress this next step in human evolution, it will be up to this new group of heroes to save the world,\u201d Deadline reports.<\/p>

Kring\u2019s first reboot also featured familiar faces, with Hiro (Masi Oka), Noah (Jack Coleman) and Mohinder (Sendhil Ramamurthy) all returning to lend a helping hand to a new generation of Evos, including \u2018save the cheerleader\u2019 Claire\u2019s son, played by Robbie A Kay.<\/p>\n
