The new Disney Plus film combines time travel and music. <\/p>
We\u2019ve all had those songs that may be earworms or remain etched into our memory for better or worse, bringing back memories.<\/p>\n
Well, imagine a step above that, and having a song transport you back in time \u2013 literally.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s the premise of new Disney Plus<\/a> film The Greatest Hits, which stars Lucy Boynton<\/a> as Harriet, who discovers that songs can actually help her to time travel.<\/p>\n But aside from the fantastical element of the film, Boynton has exclusively told RadioTimes.com<\/a> that music in general has a \u201ctransportive\u201d power that is explored in the film.<\/p>\n She said: \u201cI think initially, I read it from a kind of sci-fi perspective, the time travel element.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd then the second you start to kind of analyse your own relationship with music, you realise exactly what you said \u2013 that it is actually so transportive. And viscerally so, in how kind of nostalgic and triggering songs can be.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd that gave me just a whole new perspective on the story and a whole new access point to it, and to Harriet.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd I was just\u2026 I was so moved by her journey. And I think we all share that kind of ache to either relive or hold on to a time or a person previous.
