The biggest stars on the West End all celebrated the very best of British theatre at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 14th April, as the annual Olivier Awards<\/a> took place.<\/p>\n

Hosted by Hannah Waddingham, the night began with an epic performance of Anything Goes from the musical of the same name and with performances from Sunset Boulevard, Guys & Dolls and The Little Big Things, it was a night to remember for many.<\/p>\n

The biggest winner by far was Sunset Boulevard, which took home seven wins including Best Actress and Actor in a Musical (Nicole Scherzinger and Tom Francis, respectively), Best Musical Revival and Best Director. The production, which follows Norma Desmond determined for a second shot at fame, will be transferring to Broadway later this year.<\/p>\n

It was also a night of glory for Stranger Things: The First Shadow<\/a>. The stage adaptation of the hit Netflix series was named Best New Entertainment or Comedy Play.<\/p>\n

Additional winners included Operation Mincemeat, Mark Gatiss, Sarah Snook and Haydn Gwynne<\/span><\/a>, who received a <\/span><\/a>posthumous award for Best Supporting Actress.<\/p>\n
