Fallout 76 didn\u2019t have a very good reputation for the longest of times, but like No Man\u2019s Sky, it has built itself up into something truly great \u2013 but is Fallout 76<\/a> cross-platform?<\/p>\n

There will no doubt be renewed interest owing to the Fallout TV series<\/a>, but it could prove tricky to dive in with your friends if you all play on different machines.<\/p>\n

Though perhaps not as tricky as the task series writers have for incorporating a location from a prior game<\/a> in Fallout season 2<\/a>. This was teased at the end of Fallout<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Alas, even if you manage to complete all Fallout 76 has to offer, you\u2019ll no doubt want another trundle through the Commonwealth to see what the Fallout 4 next-gen update<\/a> has to offer.<\/p>\n

This did unfortunately push back the release of Fallout: London<\/a>, but hopefully not for too long! But anyway, back to Vault 76!<\/p>\n

Is Fallout 76 cross-platform?<\/b><\/h2>\n

No, unfortunately Fallout 76 is not cross-platform, meaning that cross-play between PC, Xbox and PlayStation is not possible.<\/b><\/p>\n

Nor is progression carried across different consoles, meaning that even if you log into your same Bethesda account on another platform, you won\u2019t have access to your character, as they are locked to a specific server.<\/p>\n

With that in mind, if you have friends who play Fallout 76, make sure to pick up a copy for the platform they play on or you\u2019ll have to buy it twice, or make new friends to play with!<\/p>

How does Fallout 76 multiplayer work?<\/b><\/h2>\n

In Fallout 76, you can team up with up to three other players and take on quests across the Appalachian wasteland.<\/p>\n

In your team, you will have six goals to choose from:<\/p>\n

  • Hunting<\/b><\/li>\n
  • Roleplay<\/b><\/li>\n
  • Events<\/b><\/li>\n
  • Exploration<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Building<\/b><\/li>\n
  • Casual<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    If you\u2019re familiar with Fallout 4, then you\u2019ll love the building mode in Fallout 76 as it is even more expansive, as you can create some truly impressive bases.<\/p>\n
