If you are a PC gamer, then you will know all about the power of mods. They allow dedicated fans to alter how a game looks or plays, which sometimes results in an upgrade to the base experience.<\/p>\n

These alterations have also given us hilarious results, such as an appearance by Thomas the Tank Engine as a villain in Resident Evil 2 (yes, you read that correctly) and Animal Crossing: New Horizons\u2019s Isabelle turning up in Doom 2.<\/p>\n

One game that has a fiercely active modding community is Bethesda\u2019s role-playing epic, Fallout 4<\/a>. The game is almost a decade old, so there are a heap of modifications and alterations for players to wade through.<\/p>\n

So, if Amazon Prime Video<\/a>\u2019s recently released Fallout TV show<\/a> has you itching to jump back in for some post-apocalyptic mayhem, we have all the information you\u2019ll need when starting out with mods in Fallout 4.<\/p>\n

How to use mods in Fallout 4<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Mods for Fallout 4 from the game\u2019s developer, Bethesda, can be located and downloaded from its official website<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

To install a mod, you simply select \u2018Add to library\u2019 and load the game once it has finished downloading.<\/p>\n

However, third party websites such as Nexus Mods<\/a> can also be used<\/strong>. Once you have clicked on your mod of choice, you must download it and save all the files to somewhere that is easy to access on your PC, such as a dedicated folder.<\/p>\n

Then you will need to install a mod manager and log in with your corresponding credentials before navigating to your downloads, selecting them to make sure they are active. From there, you will be able to simply load Fallout 4 as usual.<\/p>\n

On consoles such as Xbox Series X, there is a mod menu that allows you to download them straight to your game \u2013 however, there is less choice available.<\/p>\n
