The much-anticipated series is almost here. <\/p>

Having been initially announced back in 2019, it\u2019s been a long time coming for the Netflix<\/a> adaptation of one of the most talked-about novels in recent history, One Hundred Years of Solitude.<\/p>\n

But now, at long last, we finally have an official teaser for the series which offers up our first glimpse at what kind of elements of the original story we can expect.<\/p>\n

While the teaser certainly doesn\u2019t give too much away, we hear Aureliano Babilonia (Claudio Cata\u00f1o) as he reads from the mythical diary of Melquiades.<\/p>\n

He faces a firing squad but in that moment, he remembers his childhood and a specific afternoon when his father took him to discover ice. The rest of the teaser gives us a sweeping first look at some of the picturesque settings and character introductions to come, as we follow Jos\u00e9 Arcadio Buend\u00eda (Marco Gonz\u00e1lez) and \u00darsula Iguar\u00e1n\u2019s (Susana Morales) journey.<\/p>\n
