It was a documentary that true crime fanatics had never witnessed before. An apparent confession, caught on a microphone.<\/p>\n

The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst, which originally aired in 2015, is a six-part documentary series that examined the deaths of millionaire Robert Durst\u2019s first wife and neighbour.<\/p>\n

During the groundbreaking documentary, Durst was shown a letter in his handwriting that implicated him in the murder of his friend Susan Berman<\/a>, after which he then went to the bathroom and appeared to confess to the crimes.<\/p>\n

Still mic\u2019d up for the documentary, Durst was heard saying: \u201cThere it is, you\u2019re caught\u2026\u2009What the hell did I do? Killed them all, of course.\u201d<\/p>\n

And now, eight years later, comes The Jinx Part Two \u2013 in which those behind the documentary investigate Durst\u2019s prison calls, new material and interviews from those who only recently came forward.<\/p>\n

In 2021, a Los Angeles jury convicted Durst of first-degree murder for the killing of Susan Berman<\/a>. It was argued that Durst shot Berman at \u201cpoint-blank range\u201d.<\/p>\n

During the trial, he admitted to killing his neighbour, Morris Black, but was acquitted on grounds of self-defence.<\/p>

In the days after his conviction, Durst was charged with murder in the death of his first wife<\/a>, Kathleen McCormack. In 1983, McCormack disappeared but her body was never found.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Westchester county district attorney\u2019s office can confirm that a complaint charging Robert Durst with the murder of Kathleen Durst was filed in Lewisboro town court on 19 October 2021. We have no further comment at this time,\u201d the DA said in a statement.<\/p>\n

What happened to Robert Durst after The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In the year following the charge and before any trial could begin, Durst passed away<\/a> from a cardiac arrest at the age of 78 years old while in prison.<\/p>\n
