Channel 4 competition Hunted has crowned this year\u2019s winners after the series drew to a dramatic close tonight following weeks of nerve-shredding tension.<\/span><\/p>\n

The series puts ordinary people in the shoes of most-wanted fugitives, tasking them with trying to outrun an elite team of Hunters in the process.<\/span><\/p>\n

There were 12 contestants<\/a> at the start of the series, but going into tonight\u2019s final just four remained \u2013\u00a0mother and son Sade and Cameron, and brother and sister Jaxon and Nicola \u2013 who all had to<\/span>\u00a0try and evade capture for three more days to reach the extraction point.<\/span><\/p>\n

But early on in the episode, Cameron was captured after he and Sade split up.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There were then multiple close calls for Sade, Jaxon and Nicola, who had to trek to the top of a fell to reach the extraction point.<\/p>\n

An intense chase ensued, with Sade slipping behind, but in the end all three contestants managed to escape in the plane, meaning they all won a share of the \u00a3100,000 prize money.<\/span><\/p>

\u201cTo win, as a trans man, I feel like I\u2019ve shown people if you are born in the wrong body, your life isn\u2019t over,\u201d said Jaxon. \u201cYou\u2019re still the same soul.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTo win with Jax means the world to me,\u201d added Nicola. \u201cHe is a new person.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And it was bittersweet for Sade.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d have loved for Cameron to be next to me,\u201d she explained. \u201cNothing at all is bigger than a mother\u2019s love. I needed to win for Cameron. <\/span>It\u2019s absolutely changed our lives for ever.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
