There\u2019s always something new going on in Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/a>, but this time it centres around something quite old \u2013 as the Rediscover Kanto Special Research quest harkens back to the original generation.<\/p>\n

So that you do, in fact, catch \u2019em all, we\u2019ve got the Research tasks explained, as well as what rewards you can expect and when the event begins and ends, so that you don\u2019t miss out.<\/p>\n

You wouldn\u2019t want to show up to Pok\u00e9mon Go Fest 2024<\/a> without having it all squared away, would you?<\/p>\n

Though, you may have fobbed off Pok\u00e9mon Go for good, if you aren\u2019t a fan of the update to the game\u2019s graphics<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t mind them, then you best check out the Pok\u00e9mon Go Sustainability Week event<\/a>, too, lest you miss out on any extra goodies.<\/p>\n

With all that said and done \u2013 let\u2019s get to it!<\/p>\n

When is Pok\u00e9mon Go Rediscover Kanto? Start and end times<\/b><\/h2>\n

Pok\u00e9mon Go Rediscover Kanto begins 22nd April 2024 and runs until 9th May 2024<\/b>.<\/p>\n

That gives players just under three weeks to catch \u2019em all, which should be plenty of time as there isn\u2019t a huge amount of Special Research tasks to engage in.<\/p>

Still, it\u2019s going to be great for longtime fans, who will no doubt ride the nostalgia wave as we strike to catch Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle just like in the good old days.<\/p>\n

But to get them, you\u2019ll need to do all the tasks, which we\u2019ve got detailed for you just below!<\/p>\n

Pok\u00e9mon Go Rediscover Kanto: Full list of Research tasks and rewards<\/b><\/h2>\n

There are five Special Research tasks<\/b> as part of Rediscover Kanto. Check them all out and their rewards just below!<\/p>\n

Rediscover Kanto Special Research quest step one<\/b><\/h3>\n

  • Use 5 Berries to help catch Pok\u00e9mon <\/b>\u2013 Bulbasaur encounter<\/li>\n
  • Feed your Buddy 5 times<\/b> \u2013 Charmander encounter<\/li>\n
  • Catch 20 Pok\u00e9mon originally discovered in the Kanto region<\/b> \u2013 Squirtle encounter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Once you\u2019ve done these three, you\u2019ll be rewarded with the following:<\/p>\n

    • 5,000 XP<\/b><\/li>\n
    • 2,500 Stardust<\/b><\/li>\n
    • 1x Lucky Egg<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Use 10 Berries to help catch Pok\u00e9mon<\/b> \u2013 10 Pok\u00e9 Balls<\/li>\n
      • Play with your Buddy 5 times<\/b> \u2013 15 Great Balls<\/li>\n
      • Catch 30 Pok\u00e9mon originally discovered in the Kanto region<\/b> \u2013 10 Ultra Balls<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Once you\u2019ve done this, you\u2019ll get:<\/p>\n
