LEGO Fortnite\u2019s latest update might be its best one yet, now allowing villagers to befriend animals and recruit them to your farm.<\/p>\n

Available as of 23rd April, LEGO Fortnite<\/a> V29.30 \u2013 known as the Farm Friends update \u2013 will look to improve farms with various improvements and several new villagers.<\/p>\n

This includes master woodworker Cadence, plant enthusiast Ash, nature channeler Brooks, cheery engineer Lana Llane and the unique Guernsey.<\/p>\n

Another benefit of the update is that the village recruitment cap has been pushed to 10 per village, with three slots available to villagers, three for animals and the remaining four available for either villagers or animals.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a lot to understand, so we\u2019ve broken it all down below \u2013 including how to recruit animals the different resources that come from each.<\/p>\n

How to recruit animals as \u2018Farm Friends\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The first step to recruiting animals is all about gaining their trust. Therefore, you will need to build an Animal House<\/strong> for them to reside in. Well, you didn\u2019t expect them to live outside, right?<\/p>\n

Falling under the Station category, an Animal House is unlocked at Level 2, and is used to feed animals and farm resources.<\/p>\n

The next step is to befriend an animal in the wild. Locate one, pet them and offer an Animal Treat to gain their friendship<\/strong>. Animal Treats are unlocked once an Animal House is built.<\/p>\n

From this, lead the animal back to your village<\/strong>, but be aware of dangers along the way. If an animal is upset, it may bolt. It\u2019s also important to heal them if they are hurt, so again offer an Animal Treat.<\/p>\n

Once the animal has safely made it to the village, assign them to an Animal House<\/strong>, where they will now be part of your \u2018Farm Friends\u2019.<\/p>\n

Just make sure to treat them well by petting them, feeding them and even having a dance by their side. When away, it\u2019s best to enlist a villager to look after the animal \u2013 or it may flee, if it feels unloved.<\/p>

The animals that can be recruited include cows, sheep, chickens and pigs, the latter of which is a new addition to the farm. Each offers different resources:<\/p>\n

  • Chickens \u2013 Feathers and fertiliser<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Cows \u2013 Milk and fertiliser<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Sheep \u2013 Wool and fertiliser<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Pigs \u2013 Mushrooms and fertiliser<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    That\u2019s everything you need to know. Just beware of bears that roam the lands. They pose a threat, so must be avoided when exploring.<\/p>\n

    Is there a LEGO Fortnite \u2018Farm Friends\u2019 trailer?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Yes<\/strong>, a trailer was uploaded on 23rd April to the LEGO Fortnite YouTube channel, showing off the new update.<\/p>\n

    We can see a friendly pig being recruited to a villager\u2019s farm before sheep, chickens and cows join in on the fun.<\/p>\n
