Upcoming romcom The Idea of You<\/a> has emerged as one of the most hotly anticipated films of 2024, after winning plenty of glowing reviews following its premiere at SXSW last month.<\/p>\n The film is based on a best-selling novel<\/a> of the same name by Robinne Lee, and stars Anne Hathaway as Sol\u00e8ne, a 40-year-old single mother who begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old boy band member Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine).<\/p>\n Hayes\u2019s fictional band August Moon are fully brought to life in the film \u2013 complete with several music numbers \u2013 and according to producer Cathy Schulman, the process of creating an original boy band was the \u201ctrickiest part\u201d of the adaptation.<\/p>\n \u201cHow do we capture the energy around One Direction without actually repeating it, or frankly, just being worse than it? That was the big fear,\u201d she\u00a0told RadioTimes.com<\/a> during an exclusive interview.<\/p>\n \u201cWe knew we had to be original enough that we wouldn\u2019t be directly compared.<\/p> \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cAnd so, a lot of<\/span> that pressure fell on, you<\/span> know, Savan [Kotecha] to create songs that were more modern and more of<\/span> the moment than One Direction\u2019s moment was, so that we didn\u2019t feel like it was a throwback, and that it could really be happening today.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, when it came to finding the right balance between Galitzine and his fellow band members \u2013 played by Jaiden Anthony, Raymond Cham Jr, Viktor White and Dakota Adan \u2013 Schulman revealed that an intense \u201cboot camp\u201d process was invaluable.<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n
