The Irish punk rockers are heading on tour later this year in support of their upcoming album, Romance. Here\u2019s how to secure pre-sale tickets today. <\/p>

Back in the day (2020), this RadioTimes.com<\/a> Digital Writer<\/a> won a pub quiz, and the prize was to see Fontaines DC at Rock City that same month. Fontaines DC certainly gained a new fan that day, and we\u2019re eagerly anticipating the Irish band\u2019s UK and Ireland tour in November and December this year.<\/p>\n

Fontaines DC formed at music college in Dublin, the band members \u2014 frontman Grian Chatten, bassist Conor Deegan III, Carlos O\u2019Connell and Conor Curley on guitar, and Tom Coll on drums \u2014 bonded over their shared love of poetry.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not surprising, then, that their initial releases were two short volumes of poetry. Fontaines DC\u2019s debut album, Dogrel, received a landslide of five star reviews and was awarded album of the year awards from the likes of Rough Trade and BBC 6 Music.<\/p>\n

The Irish post-punk band\u2019s second album, A Hero\u2019s Death, was released in 2020, and their third album, Skinty Fia, came in 2022. Skinty Fia was heralded the band\u2019s \u201cmost demanding and musically adventurous album\u201d by Pitchfork, and produced some of their most popular tracks, including Jackie Down The Line and I Love You.<\/p>\n

This month, fans were treated to Fontaines DC\u2019s new single Starburster and news of their upcoming album Romance, which will be released on 23rd August this year.<\/p>\n
