BBC Radio 2 in the Park is closing this year\u2019s festival season in September. Host Gaby Roslin confirmed the news on 24th April during the Radio 2 Breakfast Show.<\/p>\n

Roslin also revealed the festival\u2019s new location. While London\u2019s Hyde Park was home to Radio 2\u2019s flagship event for its first few iterations, this year\u2019s festival will take place in Preston, Lancashire.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m delighted that this year\u2019s Radio 2 in the Park will take place in Preston. Following last year\u2019s epic extravaganza in Leicester, we can\u2019t wait to head north with our fantastic family of Radio 2 presenters, as well as some of the most loved music artists on the planet, to party with the good people of Lancashire!\u201d Head of Radio 2 Helen Thomas said in a statement.<\/p>\n

BBC Radio 2 in the Park 2024 dates<\/strong><\/h2>\n
Roslin announced in April that this year\u2019s event would take place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
The festival will take place in Preston, with\u00a0Chief Executive at Preston City Council Adrian Phillips saying: \u201cWe are absolutely delighted to welcome the BBC to Preston with Radio 2\u2019s flagship live music event, Radio 2 In the Park. As this year\u2019s host city, we\u2019re really excited to be staging two jam-packed days, full of incredible live performances from some of the music world\u2019s biggest stars.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a brilliant coup for Preston and will be a huge boost for the city. We can\u2019t wait to hear who the line-up is for this year and to welcome thousands of Radio 2 listeners to proud Preston!\u201d<\/p>\n
