Hit anthology series Inside No. 9 has confirmed when its final run of episodes will begin airing.<\/p>\n

Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith\u2019s series has been on screen for a decade and while fans have already had a glimpse of what\u2019s to come with the first-look picture above, they can finally mark a date in their diary!<\/p>\n

Inside No. 9 will return on BBC Two and iPlayer on Wednesday 8th May at 10pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The news of its final season was previously announced in 2022. Co-creator Pemberton explained at the time<\/a>: \u201cWe feel it is a good time to pause Inside No. 9 after we finish filming season 9 next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not saying it\u2019s over for good. After all, The League of Gentlemen came back [for an anniversary specials], but we won\u2019t be looking to make any more episodes for the time being.\u201d<\/p>\n

While this may be the final season for now, it \u201cabsolutely could [come back]\u201d, according to Pemberton<\/a>. \u201cThat\u2019s why we\u2019ve said the door is ajar, rather than closed. You could easily do specials and stuff like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cast for the ninth season<\/a> was announced last year and is filled with TV favourites. Joining Pemberton and Shearsmith will be Eddie Marsan, Siobhan Finneran, Katherine Kelly, Mark Bonnar and Vinette Robinson.<\/p>\n

Other casting includes Joel Fry, Susan Wokoma, Charlie Cooper and Matthew Kelly.<\/p>

Filming for the final season came to an end<\/a> back in February, with Pemberton admitting he had \u201cmixed emotions\u201d.<\/p>\n

In a post on X, the actor wrote: \u201cTime to say goodbye to #InsideNo9 having just wrapped series 9. This takes us to 55 episodes, a very decent innings. Mixed emotions but can\u2019t wait to share what we\u2019ve made.\u201d<\/p>\n
