George Webster is the first CBeebies presenter with Down’s Syndrome \u2013\u00a0and he says he’d love to one day play Doctor Who. <\/p>
Jodie Whittaker had a special message for new CBeebies presenter George Webster on today\u2019s Good Morning Britain \u2013 after he revealed that he was a huge Doctor Who<\/a> fan.<\/p>\n In a pre-recorded video message, Whittaker told him: \u201cGeorge my name is Jodie Whittaker. I play the doctor in Doctor Who. I\u2019m currently in the TARDIS.<\/p>\n \u201cI have heard some very exciting news. Someone told me you\u2019re a Doctor Who fan and I\u2019m so chuffed. I think you are absolutely smashing it on CBeebies and I\u2019m so chuffed for you. I think you\u2019re doing a brilliant job.<\/p>\n \u201cI send you loads and loads of love and a high five. I hope one day we get to meet, mate. Bye buddy!\u201d<\/p>\n George was clearly delighted with the message and told Susannah Reid: \u201cI love that, thank you so much.\u201d<\/p> Webster, who is the first ever CBeebies presenter with Downs Syndrome, was appearing on the programme to discuss his new role after he was announced as one of the channel\u2019s new presenters last week.<\/p>\n Speaking about his appointment, he said: \u201c\u2018It does feel really really good. I\u2019d like to say, dream big and live your life and hard work really pays off.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cYou have to take any opportunity, it\u2019s always exciting and you have to live your own life and not let people tell you to live a different life.\u201d<\/p>\n And he joked that he would love to follow in Whittaker\u2019s footsteps and take over as the new Doctor \u2013 or perhaps even replace Daniel Craig as the new James Bond.<\/p>\n
