Sonja Christopher, a contestant on the first season of US competition series Survivor<\/a>, has died at the age of 87.<\/p>\n Christopher competed in the season, which was called Survivor: Borneo or Survivor: Pulau Tiga, in 2000, and was the first to be voted off the island.<\/p>\n The news of Christopher\u2019s death was confirmed by fellow Survivor contestant Liz Wilcox, who viewers are currently watching compete in the show\u2019s 46th season, in Fiji.<\/p>\n She wrote in a post on Twitter, which has been re-branded as X: \u201cToday, the legend herself Sonja Christopher of Season One passed away.
