The star of Bridesmaids, Jojo Rabbit<\/a> and Senior Year<\/a> was speaking to Gaby Roslin (standing in for Zo\u00eb Ball) this morning, when the discussion shifted to the difficulty of singing a cappella \u2013 as she did so memorably for the Pitch Perfect films.<\/p>\n Wilson played Amy in the films, a confident and funny character known for her renditions of Amy Winehouse songs, starring opposite Anna Kendrick as lead protagonist Beca Mitchell.<\/p>\n She told Roslin: \u201cI absolutely loved making those movies \u2013 we\u2019re all still friends, all of us girls \u2013 they\u2019re just so joyful. I think what people see on the screen is just us having a laugh.\u201d<\/p> \u201cIt wasn\u2019t really acting because I love singing and dancing, and I just loved hanging out with that cast so, so much. It was really fun,\u201d continued Wilson.<\/p>\n The actor went on to tease a potential fourth entry in the franchise, which she claimed is \u201cbeing developed\u201d, but appeared in the dark about what the narrative could involve.<\/p>\n Wilson added: \u201cHopefully there\u2019s a fourth one in the works. There is one being developed. I mean, I know we\u2019re older now so I don\u2019t exactly know what the storyline\u2019s going to be\u2026 I guess they\u2019ve got to get the script right first, the age-old dilemma.\u201d<\/p>\n Pitch Perfect was recently revived for streaming service Peacock with the six-episode series Bumper in Berlin, which featured The Good Place<\/a>\u2018s Jameela Jamil and Workaholics alum Adam DeVine.<\/p>\n Alas, the series lost its season 2 renewal during the uncertain months of last year\u2019s SAG-AFTRA and WGA strike action, so it would be interesting to see if any of its characters could find a second life in the next film.<\/p>\n Wilson said there were countless \u201cgreat pop songs\u201d she\u2019d love to see covered in the next film, with the near-decade long break between entries meaning there would be a lot of recent hits to choose from \u2013 as well as the classics, of course.<\/p>\n The actor was promoting her memoir Rebel Rising, which was released in the UK last week.<\/p>\n![\"The](\"https:\/\/images.immediate.co.uk\/production\/volatile\/sites\/3\/2020\/10\/pitch-perfect-1dbbec3.jpg?quality=90&resize=620%2C413\" "\\"pitch-perfect\\"\/")
