Late last year, Strictly judge Shirley Ballas let slip that she and professional dancer Johannes Radebe would appear in an upcoming episode,<\/a> with fans getting a first glimpse at a dance sequence from The Devil\u2019s Chord<\/a> in recent trailers.<\/p>\n Speaking at the London launch of the new season, Gibson \u2013 who plays Doctor Who companion Ruby Sunday \u2013 described the 1960s-set instalment as \u201can incredible episode\u201d.<\/p>\n Speaking about the dance sequence, which sees the Doctor (Gatwa) and Ruby perform alongside Shirley and Johannes, Gibson added: \u201cIt was just, like, the craziest thing \u2013 and it was crazy to film it, but equally as special. That day we were dancing with them, we had a ball \u2013 we had so much fun.\u201d<\/p>\n Gibson joked that performing a musical number \u201cwasn\u2019t included in the audition process\u201d, with her co-star Gatwa explaining that the pair worked intensely with choreographer Jack Murphy to nail the sequence.<\/p>\n \u201cWe had an amazing choreographer named Jack Murphy that whipped us into shape with such kindness and such acting intention \u2013 he made the choreography accessible to us through an acting standpoint, so that was really cool,\u201d said Gatwa.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve had a lot of help to help us look like we can sing and dance, that\u2019s what I\u2019ll say about that!\u201d<\/p>\n Read more:<\/strong><\/p>\n Details of exactly how the musical number comes to be are under wraps until the episode is released on 11th May.<\/p>\n A synopsis for The Devil\u2019s Chord reads: \u201cThe Doctor and Ruby meet the Beatles, but discover that the all-powerful Maestro is changing history.
