The Piano found itself in Wales this weekend. <\/p>

Claudia Winkleman, Lang Lang and Mika headed to Cardiff for the latest episode of The Piano<\/a>, and were blown away by all the talent showcased.<\/p>\n

From heartwarming choirs to a trio taking to the piano, there was much to be impressed by, but there was one pianist who stood out from the rest and will have the chance to perform in the final concert.<\/p>\n

When 21-year-old Teddy entered Cardiff Central, he floored Mika and Lang Lang with his determination to learn and play the piano.<\/p>\n

Teddy told Winkleman: \u201cThe piano has played a huge part in my life. I\u2019m from Nairobi [in] Kenya. So I used to save money, which my mum gave to me for lunch to school. I would save up and go to the [internet caf\u00e9] and watch pianists like Lang Lang and other classical pianists.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking to the camera, Teddy explained he would draw out a keyboard on cardboard and try to play notes, imagining it was the real thing.<\/p>\n

Teddy was then fortunate enough to discover a real keyboard, and when he began to play, \u201ceverything just clicked\u201d.<\/p>\n

After he took up piano, an English pianist travelled to Kenya and encouraged Teddy to apply to schools, leaving Lang Lang and Mika shocked.<\/p>\n

Teddy then began to play Prelude from Suite Bergamasqu, but Lang Lang noted it was \u201ca bit stiff\u201d and wanted the performance to be \u201cmore of an improvisation\u201d.<\/p>

After being met with an applause from a growing crowd, the usually hidden judges asked him to play again and \u201clet it flow\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet it come from here,\u201d Mika told Teddy as he pointed to his heart.<\/p>\n

It was this performance that sealed the deal, as the pair chose Teddy to perform in the final concert!<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is one person to be invited to be on the stage,\u201d Lang Lang begun. \u201cI am really touched by their determination and the love for piano\u201d, before revealing the person was Teddy.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt never crossed my mind that I would be somewhere in the UK,\u201d he said. \u201cThen, all of a sudden, you get hit by the most incredible news I\u2019ve ever had. Honestly, I\u2019ve not words to explain what just happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

Next week, the trio are headed to Edinburgh! There will be surprises, tears and dilemmas as decisions must be made to bring one pianist to the final concert.<\/p>\n
