Can you get the better of Sierra? <\/p>
Pok\u00e9mon Go has gone from strength to strength since its launch and initial craze back in 2016.<\/p>\n
It now has a dedicated community, regular events<\/a>, and it\u2019s still changing its aesthetic<\/a>.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re new to the game, you might find a few surprising challenges on your journey to becoming a Pok\u00e9mon<\/a> master. Team Go Rocket leaders, for example, are tough opponents. But they\u2019re worth defeating for the loot.<\/p>\n [squirrel-affiliate-playlist squirrel_playlist_id=\u201d653\u2033 \/]<\/p>\n So, how do we beat them? Specifically, how do we beat the infamous leader, Sierra?<\/p>\n First, you\u2019ll need to beat the lower-level grunts, then activate a Rocket Radar once you assemble all the pieces. Of course, you\u2019ll need to be prepared for the fight, too, with decent Pok\u00e9mon.<\/p>\n The Pok\u00e9mon the boss uses tends to change on a monthly basis, so bear that in mind too! Let\u2019s take a look at how to prepare for the bosses, including Sierra, this month!<\/p>\n So, we know who Sierra will start with as it never changes, but rounds two and three have multiple options for which Pok\u00e9mon she will pit yours up against, and so we need to look at them all to work out the best way to win the fight.<\/p>\n You need to prepared for each of the Pok\u00e9mon that Sierra could send out and make sure you\u2019ve got a decent counter in your back pocket for each of them. At a glance, then, this is what Sierra has in store for you:<\/p>\n First round:<\/strong><\/p>\n Second round:<\/strong><\/p>\n Third round:<\/strong><\/p>\n This is a bit of a tricky one, as there are a few different varieties of Pok\u00e9mon that Sierra could throw at you.<\/p>\n We recommend a strong Ice-type Pok\u00e9mon<\/strong>, because four of your potential opponents will be vulnerable to Ice.<\/p>\n It is worth noting that you can re-pick your team after losing to Sierra once, by opting for a rematch at the same location, which should mean that Sierra makes the same picks again. But this time, you\u2019ll know who you\u2019re up against, so you can make your own picks more wisely.<\/p>\n And if you want more tips, keep reading!<\/p> You have some choices here, as Sneasel can be taken down with Fighting, Fairy, Bug, Steel, Fire and Rock moves. Lucario<\/strong> is the best Pok\u00e9mon you can pick to go up against Sneasel, and the Aura Sphere attack is a powerful one that will do a lot of damage. Equally, Machamp<\/strong> will do some great punching damage, while you can also go for Breloom<\/strong> or Blaziken<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Go for any powerful Pok\u00e9mon with Ice and Water moves and you should be fine with taking Gliscor out of the fight. The underrated Mamoswine<\/strong> is a great pick as it has the Avalanche move, but if you don\u2019t have one that is powered up enough, go for Aurorus<\/strong>, Avalugg<\/strong> or Piloswine<\/strong> and you should get through to the next round without any issues.<\/p>\n Steel and Poison are both moves that cause Groundbull to have a seriously bad day, so have a suped-up Pok\u00e9mon with those moves to get through this one in one piece.<\/p>\n Victreebell<\/strong> is a great one to pick, but you can also reuse Machamp<\/strong> here to do some fast and deadly damage in good time. Mewtwo<\/strong> is another that can beat Groundbull fairly easily, if you have one powerful enough in your line-up.<\/p>\n Go for Landorus<\/strong> here as it will be your best bet of getting to the second round quickly \u2013 Earthquake will do some serious damage to Ampharos, and it won\u2019t take a lot more to finish this one off.<\/p>\n Ground-type moves are the only weakness that Ampharos has, so if you don\u2019t have a Landorus, go for a Pok\u00e9mon that specialises in these moves and is high-powered enough to cause a lot of harm \u2013 Groudon<\/strong> and Excadrill<\/strong> are two others that will get the job done.<\/p>\n Read more on Pok\u00e9mon:<\/strong><\/p>\n Grass and Electric moves are what you will want to aim for to take down Kingdra. The recently added legendary Thundurus<\/strong> is one of the best for this, but Electivire<\/strong> is also a good shout if you don\u2019t have one yet \u2013 it is one of the more powerful, non-legendary Pok\u00e9mon\u00a0currently in the game.<\/p>\n Fighting, Ground, Rock and Water moves are all ones that Houndoom will not take too well, so pick your most powerful Pok\u00e9mon with these moves to finish him off without taking too much damage yourself. Once again, Lucario<\/strong> is the best choice if you have one, but other options that will do the job almost as well are Kingler<\/strong>, Rampardos<\/strong> and Conkeldurr<\/strong>.<\/p>\n There are only two types of moves that Drapion will struggle against, and they are Poison and Dark \u2013 so choose carefully and make sure you have powerful Pok\u00e9mon who can inflict a lot of damage with those particular moves.<\/p>\n Any of the following should see that you complete this final round and show Sierra that you are not to be messed with \u2013 Mamoswine, Landorus, Excadrill, Groudon <\/strong>and Rhyperior<\/strong>.
