Doctor Who has confirmed the BBC One schedule for the new season\u2019s third episode, Boom<\/a>, written <\/span>by <\/span>former showrunner Steven Moffat<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

We already knew that Doctor Who\u2019s 14th season<\/a> will premiere with Space Babies on Saturday (11th May) at 6:20pm on BBC One<\/a>, followed by the second episode The Devil\u2019s Chord at 7:05pm, with fans also able to watch them early on BBC iPlayer<\/a> from midnight.<\/span><\/p>\n

But now we know the broadcast time for episode 3, with Boom set to air on Saturday 18th May at 6:50pm on BBC One<\/strong>, following its midnight iPlayer release earlier that day.<\/span><\/p>\n

While details of what exactly the episode will include are few and far between, the BBC has previously released images which showed<\/span>\u00a0Ncuti Gatwa\u2019s Doctor and Millie Gibson\u2019s Ruby Sunday standing among what appears to be flaming rubble.<\/span><\/p>

We\u2019ve also seen clips of the episode in the show\u2019s trailers, including one in which the Doctor utters the line: \u201cI will shatter this silly little battlefield into dust. In a heartbeat. Into dust.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Showrunner Russell T Davies gave an insight into what to expect from Boom<\/a> during a recent Q&A.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAt the very start of that, the Doctor stands on a landmine and can\u2019t move for the entire episode \u2013 that is absolutely a masterpiece of performance from [Ncuti and Millie], and in terms of tension, it\u2019s just incredible,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added that he \u201ccan\u2019t wait\u201d for people to see the instalment, calling it \u201camazing\u201d and promising that \u201cpeople will be talking about that for years to come\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n
