Fans of Bridgerton<\/a> have been patiently waiting for season 3 to land and take us on the whirlwind romantic tale of Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan<\/a>) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).<\/p>\n The ultimate friends to lovers tale, the new season is being split into two parts, with the first batch of episodes set to land on our screens in just a matter of days.<\/p>\n And original book fans, you\u2019re in luck, as some of the most anticipated scenes from Julia Quinn\u2019s Romancing Mr Bridgerton<\/a> are set to play out on screen.<\/p>\n Chatting exclusively to RadioTimes.com<\/a> about some of the scenes book fans can look forward to in season 3, showrunner Jess Brownell revealed: \u201cIt\u2019s hard to talk about that without giving spoilers away, but I\u2019ll just say, the key scenes that fans are talking about constantly, there\u2019s a reason they\u2019re talking about them.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd we were talking about those scenes in the writers\u2019 room, as well. We\u2019re very keen to see them portrayed on screen.\u201d<\/p>\n So far, eagle-eyed fans have already spotted the much-anticipated mirror scene being teased in clips, as well as the steamy carriage scene in which Colin follows Penelope.<\/p>\n That\u2019s not to mention the book beat in which Colin cuts his hand and Penelope helps him bandage it up, sparking some major romantic energy.<\/p>\n From first-look images of the new season, it\u2019s clear fans will most certainly be getting that first aid scene, with the pair gazing into each other\u2019s eyes as Penelope tends to Colin\u2019s wound.<\/p>\n A major part of season 3 that many fans are waiting to also see unfold is just how Colin and Penelope\u2019s transformations will unfold, with the trailer and pictures so far giving us some insight into how the two wallflower characters are stepping into the limelight in a big way.<\/p>\n But while the teasers for the season so far have shown the pair looking very different to previous seasons, the series stars underline that their transformations really aren\u2019t just all about aesthetics.<\/p>\n Read more:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Also chatting to RadioTimes.com<\/strong>, Coughlan said of their makeovers: \u201cI think the fun thing as well about their transformation is they both have this aesthetic transformation at the beginning, but then you realise they\u2019re still the same Colin and Pen underneath, and the actual work needs to happen gradually.<\/p>\n \u201cThey grow themselves individually but also together, which is really, really beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n The official synopsis for season 3 reads: \u201cBridgerton is back for its third season and finds Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) has finally given up on her long-held crush on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) after hearing his disparaging words about her last season.<\/p>\n \u201cShe has, however, decided it\u2019s time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters.\u201d<\/p> It continues: \u201cBut lacking in confidence, Penelope\u2019s attempts on the marriage mart fail spectacularly. Meanwhile, Colin has returned from his summer travels with a new look and a serious sense of swagger.
