Warren Brown, Eva Morgan and Sadie Soverall spoke with RadioTimes.com about The Gathering’s central whodunnit mystery. <\/p>

New Channel 4 thriller The Gathering<\/a> stars Eva Morgan as Kelly, a teenager competing in the world of elite gymnastics who is attacked while at an illegal rave.<\/p>\n

Throughout the series, we\u2019re introduced to a host of characters, including Kelly\u2019s father Paul, played by Warren Brown, and her gymnastics teammate\/rival Jessica, played by Sadie Soverall, many of whom would have a motive for the attack. But who was it that did the crime?<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively with RadioTimes.com<\/a>, the show\u2019s cast explained that this element of the series will keep people gripped and guessing, with Brown revealing that even members of the cast didn\u2019t know who did it as they filmed the episodes.<\/p>\n

Brown explained: \u201cIn the<\/span> olden days you would get a full series and you would know everything from start to finish. More-so nowadays, that\u2019s not the<\/span> case. I didn\u2019t know for a long time, actually. And also, you\u2019re shooting in blocks so you\u2019re doing the<\/span> first few episodes, the<\/span>n the<\/span> next block of two, and the<\/span>n the<\/span> final block of two.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it was something when I first read that we didn\u2019t know, and I was like right, I really want to find out. The<\/span>n even when we\u2019re shooting, we were having a conversation one day on the<\/span> way to set and I was talking about \u2018I don\u2019t know who it is, and I think it\u2019s this and I think it\u2019s that\u2019, and you [Morgan] were like, \u2018Do you want me to tell you?\u2019 And I was like, \u2018No! It\u2019s not?!\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully if we\u2019re kind of involved from the<\/span> point of knowing so much that\u2019s going on, and certainly from my own case going [shocked face], and wanting to know and the<\/span>n it having that effect, hopefully that kind of transcends to an audience as well when the<\/span>y view it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Morgan added: \u201cI think the<\/span> fact that it was kind of a conversation on set or between the <\/span>actors\u2026. I mean, I signed on and I didn\u2019t know who it was myself.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it kind of had that ripple effect on set with cast and crew, where people didn\u2019t want to know \u2013 \u2018don\u2019t tell me!\u2019 \u2013 because we didn\u2019t get the<\/span> final episode for a while, which was quite exciting. I think that was hopefully a reflection that it\u2019ll happen to audiences as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
