Corinna Brown has teased that the upcoming third season of Heartstopper<\/a> will tackle some \u201cdark subjects\u201d.<\/p>\n The actress \u2013 who plays Tara Jones on the hit Netflix teen drama \u2013 made the comments during an exclusive chat with\u00a0RadioTimes.com<\/a>\u00a0on the red carpet at the BAFTA Television Awards<\/a> with P&O Cruises, when asked what fans what could expect when the third run arrives on the streamer in October.<\/p>\n \u201cIt goes into some dark subjects, so subjects that are real, very real, and very hard,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd it sheds light on how friends, families [and] partners can help each other get through those.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, I think\u2026 it\u2019s still Heartstopper, but yeah, it\u2019s touching on some other topics, which I think in the same breath will help everybody learn how to deal with things as well.\u201d<\/p> The drama has built up a hugely devoted following since its first run debuted in 2022, with fans responding especially enthusiastically to its portrayal of LGBTQ+ characters, and Brown said that she\u2019s loved seeing those positive reactions.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve just seen the loveliest messages,\u201d she revealed. \u201cEveryone just saying how much it feels good to be seen, heard, and in a nice, light way.<\/p>\n \u201cLike, you know, you get things that lean into the dark sides and the\u2026 but with Heartstopper, it is light.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd it does touch on real life, but then we don\u2019t put in doom and gloom.
