Following his death at the age of 64, This Morning has paid tribute to Sam Rubin, who appeared on the show regularly as its entertainment correspondent.<\/p>\n
Today\u2019s episode of the ITV daytime series saw hosts Cat Deeley<\/a> and Ben Shephard<\/a> being joined live from New York by presenter Ross King to reminisce about Rubin\u2019s life and career.<\/p>\n Deeley said of Rubin: \u201cHaving started here at This Morning in 2016, Sam brought with him his knowledge and expertise to share the latest from Hollywood with us and he wore his skills so lightly.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, King said that Rubin\u2019s family are \u201cobviously completely devastated\u201d, adding: \u201cOur thoughts go out to Leslie and the children.<\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t even begin to imagine what they are going through and again, it was just that shock. On Thursday, he was there on air being Sam as usual and then Friday morning he was gone. That\u2019s the shock.\u201d<\/p>\n King continued: \u201cHe was the local boy so anything you wanted to know about Hollywood, he could certainly tell you. Within the business, we would have these chats where he would say to me, \u2018Ross, they all seem very friendly but let me tell you, they would eat their young!\u2019 and it was such a good bit of advice.<\/p>\n
