Netflix have added a new true crime documentary to its extensive catalogue, this time exploring the crimes of chef C\u00e9sar Rom\u00e1n.<\/p>\n

Formerly known as the \u2018King of Cachopo\u2019, Rom\u00e1n was once a renowned chef and was a well-known name in the Spanish culinary world, but this ended following the murder of his girlfriend.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe rise to fame of a charismatic chef known as the \u2018King of Cachopo\u2019 becomes his downfall when his girlfriend\u2019s dismembered body is found,\u201d the synopsis reads.<\/p>\n

The investigative three-part series is available to stream on Netflix now.<\/p>\n

What happened to Heidi Paz<\/strong>? Crimes explained<\/strong><\/h2>\n
In November 2018, Rom\u00e1n was arrested for the murder of his then girlfriend, 25-year-old Heidi Paz.<\/p>\n
The pair met in April of the same year and had swiftly began dating after meeting one another. In the months that followed, Paz left Rom\u00e1n a note, telling him that she was leaving him.<\/p>\n
A couple of months after, in August, Paz had tried to contact him before going to the house they shared, which was the last time she was seen alive. It was reported<\/a> at the time that Paz was killed and her body was dismembered and left it in a suitcase.<\/p>\n
Soon after, Rom\u00e1n fled to Madrid and began working under a pseudonym, but was soon found and arrested by police after a three month manhunt.<\/p>\n
Rom\u00e1n pleaded not guilty<\/a> to Paz\u2019s murder and dismemberment, however was later found guilty.<\/p>\n
