Speaking to Tom Spilsbury for\u00a0Total TV Guide<\/a>, the former Doctor Who showrunner revealed that he has penned the 2024 Christmas special, which is titled Joy to the World.<\/p>\n The festive special will end up being Moffat\u2019s 50th script he has written for the series in total, with Boom set to be his 49th.<\/p>\n Chatting to Total TV Guide, Moffat said: \u201cI should probably introduce that one from an armchair, \u2018Here we are \u2014 number 50.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cBut I\u2019m not involved in next year\u2019s series. There are other things coming for me, so I might never write for Doctor Who again.<\/p>\n \u201cAs I got to the end of Joy to the World, I did think, \u2018Is that it?
