Star Lee Jung-jae seems to have let the cat out of the bag. <\/p>

The release window for Squid Game<\/a> has been getting continually narrower over the past few months, with it first being confirmed that it would be arriving this year<\/a>, then it being announced that it would be in the latter six months of the year<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, one of the show\u2019s stars has seemingly let the cat out of the bag, with Lee Jung-jae telling Business Insider<\/a> that the new season would be arriving in December 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

That certainly makes sense \u2013 director Hwang Dong-hyuk previously revealed that the show\u2019s new run was still filming earlier this year<\/a>, meaning a release date much ahead of this would have meant for a tight turnaround.<\/p>\n

A first look at season 2 was released in February<\/a>, showing\u00a0Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) telling a threatening caller that he will find them, \u201cno matter what it takes\u201d.<\/p>\n
