Dune: Prophecy<\/a> has been released.<\/p>\nThe series, previously due to be titled Dune: The Sisterhood, is a prequel to the central Dune film series which stars Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya.<\/p>\n
10,000 years before the birth of Paul Atreides (Chalamet\u2019s central character) we witness the creation of the iconic Bene Gesserit sisterhood which Paul\u2019s mother Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) is a member.<\/p>\n
The trailer teases how the sisterhood, among which the leaders are two sisters, Valya (Emily Watson) and Tula Harkonnen (The Crown star Olivia Williams).<\/p>\n
The official plot synopsis reads: \u201cFrom the expansive universe of \u201cDune,\u201d created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, DUNE: PROPHECY follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.\u201d<\/p>\n
