It has been reported that long-running sci-fi comedy Red Dwarf will be returning for a new set of three specials in 2025, the first time the show has been seen on-screen since 2020.<\/p>\n

British Comedy Guide<\/a> has reported that one\u00a0feature-length instalment will be split into three episodes, with filming set to begin in September, and stars Craig Charles,\u00a0Chris Barrie,\u00a0Danny John-Jules\u00a0and\u00a0Robert Llewellyn all returning.<\/p>\n

Robert Llewellyn reportedy confirmed the news on his Fully Charged<\/a> YouTube channel, saying: \u201cWe knew we were going to do more Red Dwarf, and we\u2019re actually now doing it in the middle of October to the middle of November this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cA 90-minute special, three half-hours. So yes, we are making more. I can\u2019t believe I\u2019ve agreed to do it, I\u2019m insane. I\u2019m much too old.\u201d<\/p>\n

He previously told the channel: \u201cWe\u2019ve all agreed to do more. We\u2019re not going to do a new series, but we\u2019re making something and it should be fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

UKTV and Red Dwarf co-creator Doug Naylor both declined to comment when approached by RadioTimes.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n
